STRIVE-Prep-Sunnyside is part of the STRIVE public charter school network. The school serves sixth through eighth grade students and is located at 4735 North Pecos St.
STRIVE-Prep, a tuition-free, choice enrollment school, offers extended-time courses in math and English. Individual attention is provided to students with different learning needs.
Students have the opportunity to explore current and youth-centered topics in science. And In World Studies, students break into collaborative groups and take on critical thinking activities about world issues.
STRIVE-Prep offers students numerous opportunities to participate in arts-based and movement-based electives during the school day.
After school, activities and sports are available to provide a well-rounded day.
Sports include co-educational flag football, volleyball, basketball, soccer, student council and art club.
Students are required to wear uniforms. While many students can walk to school, bus transportation is available. Family involvement is encouraged via the family council and numerous social events.
