Located in the heart of Congress Park, Teller Elementary School first opened its doors in 1920. Nestled in a predominately residential area of charming older single-family homes, the school serves early childhood education students from four years old through fifth grade. Named after Henry M. Teller, a 19th century Colorado politician , the school accepts and fosters an understanding of all backgrounds, abilities, and is an advocate for social-emotional learning and academic excellence. Teller Elementary is an integrated Gifted and Talented Magnet school, where students benefit from small class sizes, diverse student populations, and high expectations for academic achievement. Teller Elementary School is highly rated and popular public school in the Teller district of Denver. Parents are enthusiastic about the quality of education students receive as well as the strong extracurricular programs including soccer, tennis and cheerleading. With the neighborhood around the school known as having some of the lowest crime rates in Denver, parents are not worried about their children’s personal safety while at school.

I went here a few years back and it was a very good and positive school. There were never any fights, the teachers and principles provided a bunch of support and there were also many fun activities we had done over the school years. Terrible! Teaching against ideals of the foundation of America. Teaches incorrect history and refuses to address it. Should be defunded immediately.

Very positive. We have kids who participate in the GT program and it has been instrumental in their development of "learning how to learn" - stoking curiosity, etc. The community is special here.
