Lanai Road Elementary, a public school in the Encino neighborhood of Los Angeles, California, was established in 1958. Currently, Lanai Road Elemntary is run by principal Mario Thompson and serves about 550 students from transitional kindergarten through fifth grade.
Lanai Road Elementary is committed to instilling a love for learning in all of their students. At Lanai Road, there is an all hands on deck mentality. Volunteers and donations are both welcome and integral to running the school and its wonderful programs. Via Lanai Road Elementary School’s Art Docent Program, parents interested in fine art can even volunteer to be an Art Docent in their child’s classroom.

Lanai Road Elementary School’s campus contains a garden that is utilized in the curriculum for subjects like science and social studies. The school’s beautiful two-room library helps students to cultivate a love of learning and even offers students participation in book clubs. Every student in every grade level participates in lessons in the computer lab as Lanai Road Elemntary’s commitment to their students means a commitment to modern learning.
Lanai Road Elementary also offers a variety of after school programs, including participation in Los Angeles’ Beyond the Bell Youth Services.
