GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Overall, the school lacks diversity and culture, but the teachers strive to connect with the students and offer up-to-date information. There are many sport outlets in clubs for students to join And internship programs to help students figure out what their interests are.

I feel that my experience with Anderson County has overall been good. I transferred here during my 8th grade year. Being that it is in a very rural town, our school very much lacks diversity.

I have had an overall very good experience going to ACJSHS or ACHS. I have made many good friends over the years and lots of connections in the small, close knit community surrounding Garnett. The school has provided me with many opportunities to enhance my future options for colleges and careers, along with giving me a long list of extra-curricular activities to get involved in. I have formed many strong relationships with my peers and teachers over the years.

Most of the teachers are fantastic, however the current principal at the high school is not kind or understanding to student needs. All the students are contained to the cafeteria until the bell rings and are forced to sit. My children have been told to 'sit down' like a dog multiple times already b...

I have never been around a group of students that are as considerate, caring and genuinely thoughtful. It is a testament to the people of Garnett and especially of the type of young people the get created by a great school. I am proud of the people my children are becoming as a result of the educati...
