The quality of education at GHS is impressive: I'm satisfied with the curriculum in most subjects, and so far I haven't had a teacher who doesn't have a visible passion for their job and students. I've also enjoyed the diversity of subjects at GHS; it's not every day you see a school that offers classes in graphic novels and women's literature. Also - and while I don't use these myself - I am glad that GHS offers vocational courses to those who want to go straight into the workforce. It's good that the administration is considering the different needs of the student body. I would like to see more funding toward the art and theatre departments, as they are comparatively overlooked. I would also like the administration to look into the possibility of some kind of study period; I feel that, given both the workload that students have and the fact that many of us are involved in extracurriculars, this would aid in productivity.

There are mostly very good teachers and course levels are of expected difficulty. Resources such as the library end up being extremely helpful.

Gloucester High School is an excellent school. The teachers are supportive; they are willing to help you excel in academics, sports, and community. There is a wide range of activities so everyone can find something of interest. Going to this school allowed me to develop my academic strengths and to grow as a person.
