Grandville Central Elementary School is located on Prairie Street, just north of Wedgewood Park, and prides itself on offering education that’s kind, respectful, responsible and safe. The school campus is connected to Wedgewood Park and the Buck Creek Trail, both popular green spaces for area residents to explore and enjoy. Students can learn more about their local community thanks to after-school opportunities, recreation right on their school campus and field trips. As part of the learning experience at Central Elementary, students from Young Kindergarten through 6th grade participate in social-emotional learning. Experienced coaches provide resources and support for students to learn empathy, communication and community values. Treehouse Child Care provides before- and after-school childcare as well as support and additional education students for students from Central Elementary, as well as East, West and Cummings elementary schools. In honor of the quality of education at Central, the U.S. Department of Education named Central Elementary an Exemplary High-Performing School and a National Blue Ribbon School.
