This is a wonderful small school located in western Massachusetts. It excels in debate, equestrian endeavors and college preparedness. It enables girls to be girls and most importantly to find their voice during these challenging times.

Stoneleigh-Burnham School propelled me into a dynamic community. I arrive a young girl and left a highly educated young lady excited for college opportunities. I felt prepared, mature and ready to take on the world. I formed lasting friendships and knew I had formed a network for a lifetime. Thank you so much for this amazing experience.

My daughter just finished her first year as a middle-schooler at SBS. She is a five-day boarder. I had never in my wildest dreams had imagined that I would send my child to boarding school at such a young age, but it has been wonderful for her. She appreciates that she can grow in her independence, and I appreciate that she is held by a secure net of faculty and administrators who truly know her as an individual and cherish her as their own. All of the younger boarders have faculty-supervised study halls each night, which has helped my daughter build her time management skills. The tight tech policies the kids complain about help to foster real communication in an era in which we are all too tied to our screens. The school may lack some of the resources of its competitors, but I don't view it as a bad thing that the environment is low key and unassuming. I want my child to learn that key to any place is its community, and I cannot rave enough about SBS's warm and welcoming one.

My daughter is a boarding student at Stoneleigh and she has an amazing experience there so far. In the past, she was very reluctant to speak up or draw attention to herself in class, but during her first year at Stoneleigh she has really began to come out of her shell. As a parent at SBS I love the community, the staff is so welcoming, and the curriculum is just challenging enough that is sparks motivation to learn in my child. She loves the environment, the social life, and her teachers! Can’t wait to spend the rest of her high school years in this community!

I was sad most of the time

I rate my experience very highly as a parent. I have had excellent contact with teachers, advisors, and leadership and proud of the ways my child has grown and impressed with her learning. Normal challenges happen, and all have been appropriately responsive and caring.
