I think my overall experience at Central was very memorable because I was able to create good friend groups by being involved in school activities.

I couldn't agree more with what this other senior said so I'm copying and pasting it. Not a lot of nice people at the school and it can be difficult to make friends. There's always been this "black vs. white" unspoken concept at our school. The food is free for all students, so that's a plus. But if your child has any trait(s) that may result in them being a target of being bullied, do not send them there. The counseling isn't very good either. I had to email a counselor roughly 5 times over the course of a week to get them to finally respond. Also, they don't prepare us for college as much as I would have liked. I didn't know what MLA format even was until this year.

I entered Central with mixed feelings, having heard not the best things about the school, and most of my friends were attending Ooltewah instead. However, looking back, I have no regrets. I absolutely loved my experience at Central. It is its own community, but you definitely get back what you put i...

Our family chose Central over Ooltewah and have been more than pleased with the decision! The principal is outstanding. My child is having a wonderful high school experience at Central. No drama... just a good education and fun playing sports. What high school should be.

Central High School has improved a lot! School is what you make it while you are there. I'm involved in a lot of school activities, and the teachers have always been supportive of me.
