Attending high school at this academy was really enlightening to my high school experience. I was able to make friends, fit into my different friend groups, and feel like a part of a huge community. My peers and I got along fairly well, and my teachers were excellent and helpful towards my educational goals.

Hawthorne Math and Science is great school if you're looking for a challenge. The staff make sure everyone is coming to school ready to learn. It is a strict school but it manages to help us prepare for our future. Staff usually tell us that we were lucky to have made it till senior year, since many kids choose to leave for another school. It can be hard at times, but I think that it's a good concept to carry with us. Nothing in life will be easy and there will always be challenges thrown at us.

My experience was alright, the rules are way too strict and sometimes make no sense. The faculty has clear favoritism, which is a welcome to the real world. It taught me how to effectively create a circle of people to trust. The amount of work and strict practices do not accurately reflect how unive...

This school gave me PTSD and shamed me for getting accepted to go to El Camino College. The principal traumatizes the students for not being perfect and they don't care if you fail all your classes because you will be kicked out. Unless you know Mrs. Bayani. Get to know her and she will help you sta...
