GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I am currently a senior at this school. I started my middle school journey with them as well as my high school. I have grown not only as a person but also as a student. Southwest has open so many opportunities and has made me feel loved and at home. Everyone treats each other with respect and kindness, we are like a big family. We are not like any typical high school due to the number of students. We have around 520 students grades 6 through 12. Classes are small making it easier for the professor to get to know you better and help you more.

I never really ate in the cafeteria but I would get snacks out of the vending machine

My school is simply what my rating states- it's okay. It's quite small, which explains its lack of school spirit, clubs, activities, and things of the sort.

I use to have a high perspective of this school because my oldest son graduated from Empowerment High School but this year I’m so disappointed with them, The staff has no kind or very little communication with each other, My youngest son is going to graduate this year and I’m so happy I will finally...

The school scorecard reflects what kind of worst campus leadership the school has. I have a child too and I want to share it with all that you can find some place else if you care about your child safety ang learning.
