Ellsworth Hill Elementary School, serving 650 students in first and second grades, provides young, eager learners of Hudson with a tailored and uniquely-accommodating academic experience. Built in 2007 with a new addition completed in the summer of 2020, the state-of-the-art facility offers premier educational programs for students. The highly-successful “The Leader in Me” program allows students to showcase their creativity and leadership in various ways throughout the school year. A student-designed school garden and fruit orchard funded by The G.A.R. Foundation is a unique space for students to experience innovative, hands-on learning. To encourage integration and access to 21st century technology, all students are provided Chromebooks to take to and from school and can access assignments from anywhere. The multi use facility welcomes residents to its community learning center, providing access to a gym, cafeteria and kitchen designed for community use during after-school hours. With programs encouraging them to find their unique passion, students at Ellsworth Hill learn valuable, real-world skills they carry throughout their lives.

Our teacher is very nice, but there is no challenge for students. It's a factory model: worksheets on the same material over and over again. Kids are basically punished for getting the answers correct by having to do 50 more pages of the same. There is no adjusting for individual differences.
