The Montessori model, developed in the early 1900s, works to place students in an environment that meets and encourages self-paced development. Specially trained Montessori teachers emphasize confidence and self-esteem using uninterrupted blocks of work time as a cornerstone to success. Programs include multi-age classrooms, individually inspired learning and applied projects with an emphasis on self-motivation. Students can participate in the school’s unique programming that includes private music lessons, summer camps and after-school clubs with the nationally recognized Akron Zoo. Parents love the flexibility the facility offers including engaging before and after-school options as well as weekly infant and toddler classes and programming. Hudson Montessori School is a great place to both grow as a person and develop as a student. Students can begin classes here in the Toddler Program and continue through 8th Grade in the Middle School. The school is enriched by a great family atmosphere and a very experienced, long-tenured faculty.
