Immanuel Lutheran School was founded in 1947 and serves 3-year-old preschool students through 8th grade. It is owned and operated by Immanuel Lutheran Church, a member of the Mid-South District of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. The church and school operate as one ministry.
Immanuel Lutheran School educates children in the Christian faith in all academic areas and has been accredited by the National Lutheran School Accreditation since 1991. The 14-acre campus consists of six buildings with classrooms, a gymnasium, kitchen, cafeteria, library, worship center, computer labs, baseball and softball fields, soccer fields and playgrounds. School hours are from 8 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., with both morning care and afternoon care available.

My best memories of Immanuel were mainly of the staff. I joined the school when I became an 8th grader and the experience was amazing. It felt like a genuinely good environment. The only bad part if any was... nothing :)

My wife and I feel blessed to have have discovered Immanuel for our 2nd grade and Pre-k students. Immanuel emphasizes a truly Christian education and it is apparent that the teachers and administration truly care about the students they serve. Immanuel offers small class sizes, accredited quality education to students and is an excellent value when it comes to tuition compared to other Christian schools in the city.

Immanuel is a great environment for my kids providing an excellent educational experience in a Christian setting. I currently have a 10yo that has attended since PK3 and a 3yo that just started PK3 this year. The school has been wonderful with lots of opportunities for parents to network and the kids to be active in and out of a classroom setting. Each event that the school hosts is a unique experience that grows and develops the personal relationships between the kids and the parents. Our children are exposed to a variety of athletic options with several volleyball and basketball titles throughout it's history. Our state-of-the-art STEMM lab is the highlight of every student's day. There is an old saying that it takes a village to raise a child and I'm so glad that Immanuel is my village.

I wouldn't recommend this school. They only follow the handbook guidelines when it's beneficial to them. They serve the kids very poor lunch. They teach the kids Spanish from a computer. The school at this point will accept anyone because of the Esa money .

ILS offers a fantastic faith based education. Both of my children went through the preschool program and were more than ready for kindergarten both academically and socially! I highly recommend ILS to anyone who ever asks!

I love this school my son has been at this school for pre K, kindergarten and now 1st grade . The school has supported our family even when our house burned down they were their. This school has been a blessing to my son and my family

I have now had 3 children in ILS. The school and staff are amazing! The smaller classroom size allows for your child to have a more engaging experience in the classroom. The faculty and staff are exceptional!
