The building is outdated. Including, Armstrong Pavillion and DCMS's gym and equipment. The students do not have much interest or knowledge of why they are there. Teachers/Staff change frequently. The front secretary is the best rating I can give 5 stars.

There is a huge lack of communication within the staff at the school. I currently have a 7th grader (who's always been a A/B honor roll student in every other district) who is constantly struggling at DMS. I've personally reached out to staff on multiple occasion in regards to my concerns with the lack of communication. Noone has even offered intervention to the issues my family has faced. To me it seems as if the staff could care less if a child fell behind and do not care to advocate for their students. I would advise if you are looking to go to DMS to please do your research on how your students teachers will have your child's best interest in mind.

Ashley Todd, one of the assistant principals, finds ways to demoralize you. There is no support in the building for staff or students. It's a rotating door for staff as they can't keep staff for more than a year. I've never taught at a school that doesn't value their staff. This made it to central o...

My 2 years at this school was horrible. For those 2 years I've been to counselors, staff, and even the Principal *multiple* times about getting me a school SquareOne therapist for my anxiety, depression, and ADHD. An "I'll write it down!" here and an, "I'll remind myself!" that. Radiosilence those 2...

All the teachers were great and very patient. I felt like everyone tries to do what they can to control rowdy behavior.

Teachers are caring for their students, encourage them to try out for sports or join a club by spreading the word, especially when it’s new. Teachers don’t control or add to fights, they do their best to stop them. Some kids are just out of control and think it’s normal to get into such amount of in...
