I believe the school has good intentions. But, they are highly focused on making sure the schools test scores are at a certain level. I'm disappointed that there is no variety in learning. As a new family to this school we had high hopes. The facility was new and clean and the principal seemed engaged. Boy were we wrong. Both my children attend Guion Creek Elementary. My youngest is in the Early Childhood program. While it has gone through some changes in a couple of years, it is far better than any daycare I've had my children attend. They truly prepare my 3 yr old for the standards of elementary school. My kids have attended this school for four years and every year we continue to be impressed with not only the teaching staff, but the administrative AND support staff. Everyone here is helpful and friendly, including the custodians. An environment I feel good about sending my kids to every day.
