As an alternative to traditional high school, International Commerce High School is a public charter school in Tempe serving students ages 16-21 who need more flexible options to achieve their high school diploma. With a mission to prepare students for college or employment, the school helps students develop social responsibility, acquire skills to become more employable, and adopt self-discipline for lifelong learning.
Through a blend of in-person instruction and online lessons, all students can find a personalized program to recover credits to fill graduation requirements in addition to electives to better align with their career goals. Outside of core classes in English, math, science, and social studies, students can take courses in career technical education or the fine arts, ranging from computer applications and essential workplace skills in communication to graphic literacy and a number of world languages.
Plus, the school reimburses students who pass the SAT, ACT, the ACT National Career Readiness Certification (NCRC), and the College Level Examination Program (CLEP), in addition to students under 18 who pass the state’s General Educational Development High School Equivalency Test.
Every year, International Commerce High School helps hundreds of students successfully graduate, with many going on to higher education to pursue degrees.
