I love this school, I've been here since 6th grade. The academics aren't as bad as people say they are. With college prep it's okay, you can get help if you ask for it. This school is a safe space for queer students and students of color. Overall I think that this is a great school to make friends, memories and learn about important topics like, queer history, Americas history with colonization and climate change.

The Lehman Alternative Community school is very bad. I used to go there and they don't give punishments for anything!

LACS is a very safe and welcoming school. I have not experienced or been witness to bullying, breach of security or anything of that sort. We are prepared for a fire, severe weather and threat to the school if that ever occurred.

this is school is a small environment. students are at the front of the school. there is a heavy focus on preparation for outside of the classroom and the future; allowing students to focus on their interests with projects and committees. this is unique and will not work for everyone, but if it does...

LACS is a small community where teachers strive to know each youth and teach to the individual. There are a multitude of group projects, community involvement and service, and trips.
