St. Andrew's Episcopal School is a private school that has been serving the academic needs of Madison County for the past 75 years with excellent results to show for it. Situated along Old Agency Road, this faith-based and mission-driven school is not to be mistaken with the St. Andrew's Episcopal School of Maryland. With South and North campuses serving Foundation to fourth grade and fifth to twelfth grades respectively, this school ranks first in Mississippi State, Jackson Area and Madison County.
Their motto, “rooted in confidence and ready to compete” is not merely a selection of words. Their niche rankings are A and A+ across academics, teaching staff, college preparation, sports, clubs and other activities. The school has found a healthy balance between the academic commitment required for starling results in internal and external professional examinations and the involvement of their enrollees in sports, arts, faith and personal wellbeing.
Having nearly 200 staff of whom more than half are classroom teachers, the student-to-teacher ratio is kept at 9-to-1 to provide students with adequate attention. The efforts of the teachers are complemented by libraries across all grades and college counseling for their upper school students. It is no surprise that their average graduation rate is 100%.
