White oak High school has been a great experience for me as an upcoming senior, the diversity is great, but the safety is a big issue. Safety has gotten better now that we have metal detectors this year. I learned countless new things and feel like I am very college ready.

Some of the teachers are sexist saying things like you shouldn't wear that or saying they wished their wife was a stripper because she would make more money. I love the programs the school has I was able to take fire fighting and do things I never thought I would be able to do I had amazing experiences. Such as using a chainsaw and doing a search and rescue. Some of the teachers and counselor were really supportive I went through a rough time all years I have been in high school they took care of me when I needed. I struggled really hard with my grades my freshman and sophomore year but my teachers still cheered me on they didn't try to discourage me they wanted me to succeed.

If I could have chosen to go to a different school, I would have. This school isn't terrible but there were a lot of unhappy memories made here that my high school experience isn't one I would like to relive. Most memories were made with my peers or with the staff that worked here. Overall there were many mean people here.

THEY MADE US WAIT OUTSIDE FOR ALMOST AN HOUR IN THE FREEZING COLD JUST TO GET INSIDE, WHILE THEY TOOK SHIFTS TO BE OUTSIDE WITH NO PRIOR WARNING THAT THIS WOULD HAPPEN

overall it isn’t necessary a bad school however it does have its flaws with teachers being disrespectful towards students and a lack of counselors caring for the other students.
