GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Kirkwood High School is truly a great school. There are endless opportunities, with art, music, theater, sports, journalism, and clubs. There is plenty of access to academic and mental health support. All of the teachers are qualified, passionate, and good at their jobs. Kirkwood also has a strong community with many traditions.

Overall, KHS is a great school and has a lot to offer its students from a variety of classes and clubs to some great sports teams and lots of ways to get involved and be a part of the community. Its got some great traditions like turkey day, senior welcome, senior prank day, and the friendship dance and has a long time rival webster groves. The only thing that needs to change is we need better food on campus. Since we get to leave campus no one stays for lunch because the food is expensive and bad and we need some nicer food to keep people form leaving for lunch, even if its more expensive.

This school provides everything needed to succeed. It is also up to the family/parents to provide support for their children, if they want them to succeed. I would say that the only place the high school is lacking, is in supporting the autistic community. Kirkwood's elementary and middle schools di...

We had 2 boys graduate from KHS and are now thriving in college. The entire education experience starts with KECC and the Parents as Teachers program. The teachers at each level, K - 12, excelled in insrtuction, providing structure, working through students difficulties and communication with parent...
