This school made me feel stupid for having below a 4.0 GPA. This school ruined my mental health and any chance I have at feeling proud of myself. While I guess it prepared me for college, it also set me back in the sense that I will be arriving with a terrible sense of self worth and self confidence. I'll arrive feeling embarrassed because it is not an Ivy League or a UC. If you're not an academic weapon who does all the clubs and all the APs, good luck getting through the high school years without wanting to end your own life. I know I wanted to on multiple occasions partly due to feeling like a failure compared to my peers, not being on the Harvard debate team, etc. Feeling like I'll never amount to anything, that it's too late for me to even try anymore. I feel terrible after going to LC, and It'll take a lot of work to dismantle the mindset I've been taught here. :3 -Alum, '24

I think the best and worst experience I had with La Canada was the academics. It was rigorous, in good and bad ways. It made me want to do better, but it was damaging to one's mentality.

The reason this school district is consistently at the top of all rankings is parental involvement with a top notch faculty. La Canada is renowned for its schools, and that is a primary reason why real estate is so valuable in this community. If you don't have school age children, there are better v...

Let’s just be clear. The reason the school is rated so well is because the parents are very wealthy. Many are extremely wealthy. And colleges LOVE full pay wealthy parents. They prefer them! So when they see LCHS on the collleg app they get excited. The other reason why La Cañada high school student...

The school is in a nice neighborhood and very safe. People are friendly. There are many bright kids in every class, so it's a school for kids want to be challenged. Education is solid 5. But I was not happy about the students lost work-life balance and were forced to do homework after midnight. It w...

This could be a really awesome school, except for the utter weakness of the administration, in particular, the Principal. My daughter is in 7th, and has to put up with a completely out of control boy who demands attention non-stop. He broke a chair today catapulting another friend, in class. He jump...
