I like how it's a small school compared to others. This creates a sense of unity in the s school and our teachers and staff make an effort to connect with students. There are not many efforts to make changes though despite hearing from students and staff. I wish there would be more college help as I felt unprepared when it came to scholarships, financial aid, resumes and many other things that went into college.

La Center High School is a great high school and I am honored to say I've attended since freshman year. Everyone is very involved in making it a better place as well as having some fun and showing a little bit of school spirit while they're at it. The spirit weeks and pep assemblies are always fun and introduce some friendly competition between peers. I appreciate the small traditions La Center has such as the earth day extravaganza and the quarantine game that is put on. One thing I would have liked is to have an open campus so I would have the option to go home and grab things as well as be able to choose if I eat at the school or elsewhere. Another thing I would like changed is the fact that you can't go to the student lounge during lunch even to read or work on projects.

Solid teachers, I enjoyed that it was a small school. Everybody knows everybody, teachers were able to better help students, nobody was left out because of this.

The personal aspect of the school, teachers connecting with students and trying to spread feelings of community, were pretty good. However, it was often nullified by the students' own feelings of misery and discomfort (which is a general trend of the latest generations). And the actual education par...
