GreatSchools Rating

Source: GreatSchools
GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I've been at Horace Mann for about 6 years and have been there since 6th grade before the high school grades opened up. I'm going to be part of the first graduating class and throughout my experience can say that I'm honored to be a part of the growth. Although Mann lacks in a lot of "normal" high school activities and resources, they've done their best to make our experience as good as possible and it's been showing.

When i went there i saw a lot of kids doing bad things that they weren't suppose to do. There was a lot of fights and students wouldn't listen to the teachers. I was one of the students who got honored and culminated.
