A failed school that should be allowed to close. It was an idillic dream, great community, small school. But not enough funds and all groups casting blame. So focused on the fight and not the kids. All this 100 year old piece of history to end gracefully.

My child is in their fourth year at Lakeside and we have had a good overall experience. The school has its struggles due to its size but I know the administration’s heart is in the right place. The parent community is very strong and the school fosters a supportive atmosphere for the kids.

I have had 3 kids graduate from Lakeside - this is a school that boxes above its weight. It might be small, but the education talent in the school is outstanding. The kids leave there with an appreciate for nature, for reading and for friendship - lucky to have it in the neighborhood.

This will be my son's fifth year at Lakeside and we feel privileged to have access to such a great school. It's a very small school which gives kids lots of instructor support and community connection. My son (who is ADHD and dyslexic) has thrived here, is reading at middle school level by 3rd grade...
