Bullying is not tolerated in any way. There are no security measures and the school nurse is located in the Elementary and she tends all students in the Elementary, Middle and High schools. This school is safe because it is a small school and a small town.

This school is unique because not only is it small but they still offer college classes. There are still many sports to choose from and they accept everyone that wants to join the team in some way or another. My favorite experience was one of my teachers offering to take my brother and I to school every day from another town when we had recently moved and we did not have transportation. I would choose this school to start over my high school years because students here are accepting of everyone and the teachers help you in anyway that they can.

There are more one on one with the teacher and the student because it is a smaller school. Teachers follow the grading requirements and give extra help when it is needed and ask for. Their interest in students is very high and they genuinely care about other students throughout the school.

Mancos is a small rural community that has very good support for it's schools. The current curriculum at the High School has numerous pathways for a student to check out. The school district focuses on the student and also offers great opportunities to take college courses in high school as well as work with the student and parent to identify and apply for appropriate colleges and grant/scholarship opportunities. I’m very pleased with my child’s success at Mancos.

good teachers but over all the school does not have very much to offer just regular sports and community is rough not many jobs very little day care its jjust a small collorado retirment town with nothing to offer young families other than a long commute to a town where you can find work.
