Frederick J. Gaenslen School offers comprehensive prekindergarten through eighth-grade education to the Riverwest Neighborhood in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It's complemented by two pre-K through fifth grade elementary schools: Riverwest Elementary and Fratney School. All three have roughly the same number of students per grade level.

Gaenslen moved to its current location in 1988. The new facility allowed students with special needs to study alongside others in rooms with special dividers.
