GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

It's been pretty good there are a lot of nice people and they do make an effort to make you feel like you belong. I like that they have resources to support. Something that they could work on is making it easier to change classes at the start of the year. Also maybe the lunch food because it's not great. Something that I really like about most of my classes is that they make you socialize and also help you meet new people. Also that the teacher are really nice and caring. I have siblings who have already gone to this school and they have enjoyed it. It's truly diverse I have gotten to mean multiple people from different backgrounds. Some teachers do go a little fast sometimes but that doesn't really bother me because I like learning things fast and then reviewing. They have a lot of classes available and I want to do a lot of them. A thing they could work on is maybe adding an extra period for electives only because I really want to take a lot of the classes they have to offer.

Mountain View High School offers lots of support in terms of teachers and outside-of-the-classroom resources. While the administration could be better with the current principal, the environment is still very welcoming.

Overall, attending Mountain View High school has been a moving experience. Overall the School itself has lots of diversity and gets everyone ready for college. We have top students, teachers and facilities but I would like to see the infrastructure of the facilities continue to improve.

Best school in the world, with extremely high ratings by everyone, and negative bullying. Would recommend!

The teachers are really good, especially Ms. Wu, the AP Lit teacher. My daughter has learned so much in her classes and thoroughly en...

Outstanding teachers and resources for a public high school. Balancing course work and extra-curriculars were challenging for our son, but he is a better student, athlete and person after his 4 years here. Great experience overall.

My child graduated recently and is now at one of the HYPSM schools. I think, as with any school, public or private, that there are good vs poor teachers, and who you get is mainly a matter of luck. The counselors are good, for the most part, and some are absolutely fantastic (we were lucky to have b...
