I was only at Silverado for one year, my eighth grade year, but it was still one of the most memorable years of my life so far. Not only were my teachers amazing, memorable people, but I met people I'd grow ever closer to over the next five years, I read books that challenged and changed my perpective on the world, and while I battled some serious mental health issues that year, it was the year I look back on now as the true beginning of my journey.
