The food is not good. Some of it is okay, but sometimes I wonder if their food is edible. It depends on what it is. The teachers are a mixed bag. They have some really, really good teacher, but it is obvious they are having hiring issues because some of them are really, really bad. Recently the administration has gotten oddly strict about random things, and honestly, I don't like it and it doesn't do anything to the people actually are doing things they shouldn't. We need passes to go anywhere, even the bathroom, but I hear people complaining about kids vaping or skipping in the bathroom. A lot of the kids are very loud in the general classes, and nothing they do is stopping it. The advanced classes like DE are very close-knit (everyone knows the everyone and aren't afraid to talk and give opinions) but three times as hard as a general class where they will hand you an A for just answering a few common-sense questions.

This school provides good resources for those seeking out resources; however, for those not fully educated in college application process and readiness, the ability to begin the process can be somewhat difficult.

The teachers are for the most part really nice. Like any school, there are some that aren't great but most of them are pretty cool.

This school is decent for public schools, but I still find that I am unfulfilled and most teachers have a very lackluster and unemotionally supportive view.

I would like to say as a current student of New Kent High school, I wouldn't recommend coming here at all. This place looks nice at face value, but once you experience the things here, you start to realize not everything is picture perfect like how the staffs describe. The administration here is alr...

This school is the worst one anywhere in Virginia, they destroy any chance at kids wanting to learn or being happy by blocking literally everything with iboss. There is no way to be able to contact friends, family, or anyone because of the restrictive emails and every website known to man being bloc...

Because of the illegal substance abuse, if I had any other HS option we would probably take it but unfortunately since we live in New Kent, we are stuck with no other options than NKHS.
