The International School of Louisiana in Algiers Point on the West Bank of New Orleans is one of three International School campuses in the New Orleans area.
The International School of Louisiana was founded in 2000 and is dedicated to teaching children from kindergarten through eighth grade in an immersive language program of French and Spanish.
At the West Bank campus, students are involved in Spanish immersion classes starting in kindergarten through fifth grade. The West Bank campus is also located near the neighborhood library. To gain admission to the school, kindergarteners and first grader students do not need to speak either French or Spanish The school offers fine arts and music education several times a week. Uniforms are required. Transportation is provided to and from campus for qualifying students, and before and after care programs are offered five days a week.

Holy Name of Mary was a wonderful school. Things changed after the hurricane. Leadership was poor. Some people were unprofessional. Excellent teachers left. The school was never the same.
