The school is extremely diverse and the teachers are all supportive. Helps you choose your major interests in 5 pathways. Classes are in block schedule.

I enjoyed going to this place as a freshman, but it was too crowded and the students were rude. I don't think I will enroll my kid

Oakland Tech was great as a whole, and I thoroughly enjoyed my time as a student. The location in downtown Oakland is great, but some of the academics and teachers are not as great. I highly suggest the Piadeia program for english and history

My oldest son is now getting ready to transfer to UC next fall and my younger son is currently a junior and enrolled in AP classes that are as challenging as any college class I’ve seen. My son graduated from Oakland Tech in 2021. They prepared him for college and is doing well. He was part of the Race, Policy, and Law academy and had excellent teachers. My son had an IEP and his services were excellent. I'm disappointed in the review by the parent complaining about "labor strife."...
