Honestly I think the school is really good, all the teachers are really kind and all want you to succeed. If you choose to enroll in AP classes, they are hard but fun, and I think the school has a great environment. The Arts department is top notch and the faculty are incredible. Overall I think the school atmosphere is a wonderful place for a child to learn and grow as a student and person.

The best part about Nordhoff is, in my opinion, the arts. The arts, (music, dance, theatre, etc.) are greatly appreciated and sought out. I feel most myself in my dance class, and there's always a play or music concert to look forward to. The worst part about Nordhoff is how some teachers, not all, aren't great at lectures and I have a hard time understanding and communicating with them. I don't feel like I really learn and take in too much of whats going on in my classes. I would like to see a teacher's requirements change in the way they teach, so students aren't learning information for short-term purposes, and are able to learn about real-world problems that we'll need long-term.

I really don't like this school. There are way too many students in the classes and if you fall behind you have to fail before they will consider moving you out the class "if there is room in another" or you just get an "F". EXCELLENT leadership from both past and present Principals. Great office staff. Very good teachers. AWESOME football team, sports, theater and music. Despite many cutbacks, this school is thriving.
