Although my time as a student at Nordhoff High School has been satisfactory, there are plenty of areas that I believe the school could improve on. Starting with the positive, we have fantastic performing arts, including ceramics, art, theater arts, music, dance, etc. We are so fortunate to have such rich extracurriculars, and I would say that is the best opportunity at Nordhoff. Also, our sports teams are fairly good and inclusive. For academics, we could definitely offer more AP classes, I know people would be interested in taking them. We are not a hugely diverse school, but we have clubs to support appreciation of the diversity we do have, which is really great. One of the biggest issues at Nordhoff would have to be the food. I do not eat some days because I don't have food from home, but most of the food in the cafeteria is inedible, besides the fruit. Overall I would argue that Nordhoff is a fantastic school to attend.

I think this school is okay. Obviously not the best academically wise, and in my personal experiences the social scene is weird. There are on the other hand great teachers and the Art and Ceramics programs are amazing.

Overall I thought many of the teachers genuinely wanted to see their students succeed and really cared about teaching. However, I would like to see more fund going towards the art departments as opposed to unneeded renovations.

My son is currently a sophomore and LOVES his school. Nordhoff has excellent, caring teachers who go above and beyond, particularly in his AP and Honors classes. Nordhoff has fostered a truly caring and supportive environment between students. The school offers areas of interest for everyone and the...

I really don't like this school. There are way too many students in the classes and if you fall behind you have to fail before they will consider moving you out the class "if there is room in another" or you just get an "F". The STAR football players pass all their classes no matter what and they ge...

EXCELLENT leadership from both past and present Principals. Great office staff. Very good teachers. AWESOME football team, sports, theater and music. Despite many cutbacks, this school is thriving.
