Located on Peonza Lane in the Rancho Vista neighborhood of the city of Palmdale, Rancho Vista Elementary School offers classes from universal pre-kindergarten through 6th grade. With approximately 800 students and 37 teachers, this public elementary school currently maintains a student-to-teacher ratio of 21-to-1.
The student body, spiritedly called the Rancho Vista Rockets, can join several clubs and groups. They can seek a spot on the school’s Science Olympiad team and compete in over 23 events, including genetics, chemistry, earth science, physics and more. They can also compete as Mathletes, run for Student Council, or become a member of Dancing Feet, which is a ballroom dance team that competes against other teams in the Antelope Valley. while building self-confidence. They can also seek to improve their grades by applying to the Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) program and learn skills to better prep for college.
This accredited school nurtures its’ students by partaking in the Universal Meals Program, which means all students receive one free nutritious breakfast and lunch daily, and has been awarded California Distinguished Status by the California State Board of Education.
