My high school has an excellent English and art department but the math classes are a little lacking. The sports teams are very talented and win lots of awards.

I really enjoy going to Palos Verdes High School. The school has a great school culture, academics, athletics, and teachers. I've met some amazing people, however the community is in a bit of a bubble. The one thing I would like to see change is our facilities. The locker rooms need updating and the showers need to be in working condition. The school also doesn't have AC or heating so that could be something that could be changed.

ASB and BTC work hard to involve the student body. This leads to extremely fun sports games and school activities. Not to mention that the sports teams are typically very successful in their games and win often. The school is very sport oriented and includes people who do not play sports by encouraging them to come and watch. As for academics, they are not as rigorous as one would hope for. The teachers are involved and do want their students to do well.

In comparison to Peninsula High, Palos Verdes High is average. If your student is not as academically inclined and motivated or is interested in things outside of academics, this might be a good fit. Both schools are great for different reasons. Many parents and students tout the block schedule and...
