As a two-time winner of the National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence Award and recipient of the state of Florida designations as both a “High Performing School” and “School of Excellence,” PBES stands out even among the area’s other superior educational institutions.
Situated on Via de Luna midway between Fort Pickens Road and the Gulf Islands National Seashore, Pensacola Beach Elementary School serves students from kindergarten through 5th grade. Their award-winning academic foundation is complemented by robust programs in art and music. Academically talented students can take advantage of the PATS program for weekly off-site learning opportunities. A smaller than average student-teacher ratio of 13 to 1 provides students with a direct and focused educational environment while still providing amenities such as a computer lab and media center.
Pensacola Beach Elementary believes “an effective program must be established to teach the whole child.” This is demonstrated through the addition of a Student Success Coach to the staff. Aside from the excellent teaching of core curriculum, what sets this school apart are the cheerful caring teachers that find ways to help each child achieve their greatest potential.
