A public elementary school on the east side of the Ahwatukee community, Kyrene del Milenio’s annual enrollment is just shy of 600 students ranging from pre-kindergarten to fifth grade. At Kyrene Del Milenio, 67 percent of students scored at or above the proficient level for math, and 57 percent scored at or above that level for reading. The school boasts a 17:1 student-teacher ratio, with 100 percent of the teachers having more than three years of teaching experience. Principal Michael Lamp has won several awards for his leadership, including the Grand Canyon University’s March Principal of the Month Award in 2021. Kyrene del Milenio is one of the larger elementary schools in the Kyrene School District, one of Arizona’s leading public school districts providing excellence in education for more than a century. Kyrene has a stellar reputation for high academic achievement, with schools consistently outperforming peer districts, charter schools, and state averages on AzMERIT and other educational benchmarks. Recently ranked #177 in Arizona Elementary Schools by U.S. News and World Report, Kyrene del Milenio feeds into Kyrene Akimel A-Al Middle School and Desert Vista High School.

I think the Kyrene district itself is great with a consistently excellent reputation. Where the state fails, the voters consistently come through with passing the budget override. Before I moved, I was driving 45 minutes to get my kids to school each day. I was so happy with Kyrene del Milenio staff and school, it was worth the drive. s have excelled academically and socially and they love school.
