On a campus just north of South Mountain Community College, T.G. Barr Academy of Global Studies serves more than 350 children in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade in South Phoenix. This esteemed institution encapsulates a strong set of morals and helps to prepare its students for high school.
This public school is currently pursuing authorization to become an International Baccalaureate World School, which will dramatically elevate all of its curriculum and educational programs but will still remain in the Roosevelt School District No. 66.
In the meantime, the faculty here follow core values of fearlessness, learning, integrity, grit, humility, and teamwork. Through a commitment to excellence, everyone at T.G. Barr strives to help students connect through authentic relationships and embrace lifelong learning.
Outside of the classrooms, ambitious students can develop leadership skills in student council or discover the rewards of community service as part of the National Junior Honor Society. The more athletically competitive individuals can participate in volleyball, basketball, soccer, and cheerleading, with options outside of standard physical education classes varying by grade level.
Among the programs offered by T.G. Barr, students can participate in a gifted program, get free breakfasts and lunches (even during summer), or get involved in before- and after-school activities offered through 21st Century.

I Went to this school in 2008 I believe during that year and the past few years before that I went to a lot of schools and I'd have to say this was the BEST one. Love the teachers they actually help you and never leave you hanging. I'd give this a 5 star. Awesome school guys!
