Best : Diversity, a sense of belonging and opportunities to discover their passions. Worst: Junior year is often considered the most challenging due to a heavy course load and the pressure of preparing for college.

Plano West is an extremely academically competitive school. West is also exceptionally strong in most academic extracurriculars: Computer Science, Debate, Jazz Band, and more. Though excelling in most academic extracurriculars, West has however been held back by Texas culture, favoring large spending and investments into a failing football team instead of pushing extracurriculars further or investing in equipment, food, and new opportunities.

I think that the counselors can do a better job preparing students for college by telling us things we need to have done ahead of time.

I worked at this school and believe me, the positive reviews do not reflect the whole reality. There's no support from the admin team if you need something.
