Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The college counselor does not share information with the parents. I understand that in high school that the kids are to be more responsible, however, not all are as responsible as others.

Queens Grant is significantly better than the CMS and my districted school Hickory Ridge located on the East Side of Charlotte, NC. The school strives to make sure you are college ready. The guidance counselor is the best her name is Sandy Ubriaco and she does an amazing job making sure that me and my fellow classmates are 100% ready for college. She puts everything into lemans terms and makes college readiness seem like a breeze. I like that we are a small school but I don't like that because of how little the school is the athletic department gets hit heavily. Our school has produced colligate athletes, but because of the 1a conference we are given easier schedules and are not easily acceptable to being noticed by colleges. Other than that I really love the school and wouldn't want to go anywhere else.

I very much like how small it is. I do not like how long it has taken to build a gym for the students. The college counselor, Ms. Ubracio is wonderful, and sports for me have been amazing. The ability to create clubs and have a personal relationship with the teachers to forge higher standards is also amazing.
