GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I am so glad that I received my education from Quemado High School. This rural school provides an abundance of support to kids needing help because it is so small. I have received 1 on 1 support that no other school could provide. The staff will support you in every way they can. Also, since it is such a small school, you have opportunities that big schools do not provide. For example, I have taken dual credit classes since my sophomore year and have many college credits to further my education.

QHS has a very small student to teacher ratio which means we can easily get help if we need it. Many of the teachers can help us with all of our subjects. We have a wonderful sports program that makes you feel like a family more than a team. Our drama program, while small, is very talented. The only downside is the lack of other extracurriculars and electives. All in all, QHS is very student friendly and everyone will help you do your best.

The academics and athletics opportunities are amazing. However, being a small school, it can be difficult to deal with the drama that comes along with being around the same people for a whole year.
