Redwood Adventist Academy is a K-8 school guided by four core values: responsibility, perseverance, integrity, and respect, all rooted in the love of Christ. They’re deeply rooted in caring for the earth. Redwood’s campus on Mark West Springs Road has a working organic garden, called the What’s Up Farm, that sells produce to local restaurants, and gives all students the chance to spend at least 45 minutes per week learning outdoors. Their Forest Kindergarten program is even more involved, with the school’s youngest students spending two hours a day outside, rain or shine, learning while engaging with the natural world. Parents and students alike say the intimate classes and faith-based instruction make Redwood Adventist feel like a family. Their outdoorsy approach is balanced with engaging projects and classwork that builds tech skills, and there are opportunities for fun and socialization like the Lego and video clubs. GreatSchools rates it 4.8 out of 5, with particular praise for the school’s garden, their vegetarian meals, and the unity among students that stops bullying before it can start. Committed to mentoring students, Redwood Adventist Academy is a place for them to grow from the ground up.

Inspires students to learn and grow as a student and as an individual in a nice, friendly enviornment. The school offers opportunities for extra activities like music, sports, and growing vegetables in association with a fully functioning farm stand.

We are new to the school. Our son was not doing well in the public school system and we wanted to get more one on one attention. So far he has improved and we look forward to this year and his success.

Most students at that school are pretty involved in the sports. Other students that are not playing in a sport will usually come watch. Parents will also come and support the team.
