East Sacramento’s David Lubin Elementary School opened in 1922 and is located in a leafy neighborhood on M Street between 35th Street and Dolores Way. The school encourages children to dream big and think of all the possibilities out there, ready to explore. David Lubin serves about 530 students in kindergarten through sixth grade. The student-teacher ratio is about 22-to-1. As a designated STEAM school, David Lubin Elementary School has especially strong classes in science, technology, engineering, art and math. The school’s Parent Teacher Group enjoys strong parental involvement. Athletics are run by parent volunteers and include soccer, football and basketball teams. David Lubin provides an after-school enrichment program free of charge until 6 p.m. Before- and after-school care is available for a fee at the nearby YMCA.

Our daughter was enrolled in one of the David Lubin kindergarten classes for three months before we decided to transfer her to a better-fitting school. She was recently diagnosed with inattentive ADHD. She is well behaved, but due to this diagnosis, she struggles with focus and is easily distracted....
