What has kept me teaching at Del Mar Pines, for well over a decade, is the collaboration between the teachers and the parents to nurture, educate, and bring out the best in each child. "It takes a village" is true of the mutual respect and cooperation in our small community. We see, respect, and support each child through their primary years. I enjoy seeing our students evolve and flourish during their seven years with us.

My daughter started Del Mar Pines Elementary for Kindergarten and is currently in 5th grade. She loves her school, she loves her teachers, she loves her friends... it's such a pleasure having her jump out of bed and be excited to go to school!! I have friends in other schools and when I compare things, it confirms what I already knew about the quality of the education my daughter is receiving at DMP! I would highly recommend Del Mar Pines to ANYONE looking for a school to prepare kids academically as well as emotionally for higher grades.

Del Mar Pines is a special place. With small classes, caring teachers, and a supportive parent community, it represents education at its best. Marci, the director, knows the students well. She supervises recess, serves up lunch, runs arrival and dismissal, and sits in on every conference. She is alw...

She applied and started mid-year and the director, Mrs. McCord, was so compassionate and welcoming about our situation. The transition was amazing....

We transferred our daughter to Del Mar Pines from a public school to join the six grade. At the beginning, we hesitated and were even a little worried about her transition. But the school was amazing. They, the full staff, the 6th grade leading teacher Mrs Stoke, the math teacher Mr. Fortin, the dir...

Small and nice school. Because it is small(1 class per grade, 20 students per class), young kids have a lot of attention they need. Teachers are nice and patient and rich in experience. This year is tough due to the Covid19, but DMP acted very fast. They got on-line classes ready in the first week o...
