Established in 2009, PUC Nueva Esperanza Charter Academy is located at 1218 North 4th Street in San Fernando and enrolls a total of 362 students in grades six through eight. Primarily serving the cities of San Fernando and Sylmar, PUC Nueva Esperanza Charter Academy holds the distinct honor of being a Title 1 Academic Achievement award-winning school. The Academy is also Western Association of School & Colleges accredited, which ensures the highest quality of trustworthy education. There are several features which make this school a standout including the online program “Think Through Math & Achieve 3000 Target Skills,” which is designed to booster literacy levels. The Academy is proud of its Collaborative Inclusion Model, which ensures that no child is left out and reaches to provide ongoing support to both students and their parents. Extracurricular sports such as basketball, soccer, softball, cheer, and volleyball are all offered. The girls’ soccer team have been the undefeated champions in their regional division for 2021 and 2022; and both the girls’ softball and boys’ and girls’ volleyball teams are regional champions for 2022. This school is free, and graduates of PUC Nueva Esperanza Charter Academy are five times more likely to go on to attend college after high school.
