My experience at SOTA has been amazing. Being a selective performance based Art school, it is different from other public schools. Everyone who attends truly wants to be there. While SOTA often lacks in AP classes and other more advanced academic programs, they make up for it with their impressive art curriculum.

I've really enjoyed my time at Ruth Asawa School of the Arts. The community is truly special and unique due to its focus on the arts.

Ruth Asawa is a school primarly focused on arts. Depending on what department of study you wanna apply to, you would be there for the remaining of high school. This types of classes are rarely offer in other schools and it helps people engage with their teachers and peers in a deeper way. Academics are fairly good at this school but because of the focused maintain in arts for all students, the priority of students are arts so if you want to study and art major or something related this is the school for you.

The bullying and harassment at this school are out of control. The administration is failing the school and the students. The cancel culture and gossiping have ruined my child's experience at this school and they are not the only one. I have spoken to a number of other parents and their children hav...

I give this school one star only because given the circumstances in the 20-21 school year, my freshman student did fairly well online and I understand it was a practically impossible situation. And also for my son's art teacher who is trying to hold it together. But this year is out of control. It d...

This school has serious bullying and harassment issues of which the administration takes no action. SFUSD takes no responsibility and denies almost all Title IX complaints. A sexual abusers list was written on a bathroom wall and sent out via social media. Unfortunately, more than half the kids on t...
