I LOVE THE MUSIC PROGRAM. THE INSTRUCTOR MR. MEYERS IS THE BEST. I HAD GREAT EXPERIENCES WITH MY TEACHERS. I REALLY CAN NOT COMPLAIN. THE ONLY THING I WOULD RECOMMEND IS FOR THE SCHOOL TO DO MORE THINGS OUTSIDE THE NORM TO BRING KIDS TOGETHER.

I've had a pretty ok experience in Independence High School and my best parts were probably being around other people with similar interests to me but the worst part was the rude people that you might bump into.

The extracurriculars and programs that were given at school were so good. I joined the cheer team my freshman year and joined the dance company my sophomore year. Both of those programs made my high school years so fun for me, and have pushed me to become a better dancer, and have dance as my major when I start college in the fall. Every year my teachers were so nice and acommodating to me and helped me with everything. The school events that were held every year was so fun and always looking forward to it. Yes, it is a lot of work to prepare for, but everything makes up for it at the end. I loved my high school, even though there were very bad, BAD days for me. I still was able to end my senior year off strong.

Teachers are way too lazy this year with taking attendance (2023). This is bad because during this year, a new rule thing passed down to the school which is basically way way way more strict on being late and absent. Having too much 3 tardies = 1 absent and if you have enough absences, then you can'...

If you are a parent that has a kid that aspires to go into a good university or a parent wanting to get their child into the right path in life, Independence is not it. There have been multiple times I have been asked if I wanted to vape with people or do morally incorrect things. There were once 4...

My son graduated from Independence High in 2010 then went to UC. He graduated from medical school years ago and is a physician now. A couple of his school friends are physicians or pharmacists too. School faculty is important. Students and parents know what they want is also important.
