Overall, at James Lick, I have been here for 4 years, and my experience was fun. I had various memories here, and I would overall say the learning and the community are not so bad. The people here are very inert and lazy, but the teachers are very supportive. They expect a lot from us, and that's great because they know we are worth a lot and we are the future generation. They try to prepare us for the future in life.

The school has come a long way from how it used to be. The classes they have are basically avg besides the comp sci classes. I liked taking the class most due to how nice and open the teacher what to any type of question on comp sci. The school encourages working group projects. So most classes will have group projects besides some like math and English but it all depends on the teacher. Most if not all the teachers were very open and gave opportunities to talk to them if you ever wanted to after class or school.

My experience at James Lick so far is one of the best. During this pandemic they have provided the necessary resources in order for me to excel in my studies. I have met many great people and have had that chance to learn in an environment where we all want to succeed. The teachers/classes are challenging enough to where I can strengthen my skills by engaging and learning more. I get great support from my teachers/counselors/staff who not only help me see my potential but help me achieve my goals. One thing I would like to see change are my fellow peers willingness to learn in the classroom.

James Lick High is Great,They started a New Technology program this school year with the in coming freshman and it seems to have gone well. This school has improved a lot for the past years, BUT its API went down last year and MAY even go down this year due to CAHSEE non-passing and lower proficiency rates in both ELA and Mathematics. Teachers have improved, students have better outlook in education and admin tried their best to maintai...
