My experience at San Leandro High School is in all very good. Personally, I decided to get involved in all aspects of the school when it comes to academics, clubs, sports and music which has enriched my experience even more. There are some safety and security issues within restrooms and some parts of the school that I hope will be changed in the future.

Teachers genuinely care about their students for the most part and are responsive to emails. In the last 2 years, administration has turned over almost completely twice. Admin seems overwhelmed and is not always responsive to emails. The Career Center does a good job offering workshops and information.

San Leandro High School is an okay school overall. Starting with the teachers, some o them teach and some dont. Most of them wants whats best for for us but some of them are lazy. The sports teams are averazge. They lose more then they win but. we have great school spirit. We look forward to when spirit week comes up. The food isnt bad. The campus is big but there are over 1,000 students so it gets crowded at times. There are two campuses which i think is pretty cool. My high school experiamce was based off of my personal things that I had going on but I got it together starting junior year. My schoolmates are cool. I made a lot of friends from doing sports and going to class. I would want them to make a bigger caferteria because it only fits about 60 people which is not good.

First off, at back to school night ‘for equity’s sake’ we aren’t going to let you go through each class on a schedule and have the teachers present to you, instead you can wander through at your own pace. Shameful. It would be reasonably for the school to be closed down and individual student files, behavioral issues, and grade passing to be reviewed by an independent evaluator.
