Grayhawk Elementary is a kindergarten through 6th grade public school with a mission to challenge its students to achieve individual excellence.
Grayhawk Elementary is an A+ School of Excellence, a prestigious accreditation from the Arizona Educational Foundation. It is also a Core Knowledge School of Distinction. It has been placed on the Arizona Business and Education Coalition’s Higher Performing School List in all subjects, just one of four elementary schools in the state to achieve the honor.
Instruction at Grayhawk Elementary utilizes flexible groups, multiple intelligences, tiered lessons, curriculum compacting, project-based learning and individualized learning plans. Enrichment classes include visual arts, physical education, vocal music, and technology/STEM. Band, strings, chorus and a comprehensive enrichment afterschool program round out the educational offerings.

Teachers here are burnt out and not supportive. The principal is unprofessional. Maybe it was a good school a decade ago but now this school is going downhill. I would be very cautious about sending your child here if depending on an IEP or 504 plan. The team lacks the leadership support needed to help a student to be successful. The school does not communicate clearly with parents or include them as team members in decisions. The leadership lacks understanding on what is needed and does not advocate to meet those needs with staff or resources.

We are so thankful for our Grayhawk Family! We have been parents at Grayhawk Elementary School for 9 years and have had a phenomenal experience. The teachers are astounding and the staff always goes above and beyond to make our educational experience beneficial for all of us!
